We have learned to sing and dance to some fun songs from the Down in the Valley program.

We have been having fun with the Orff Rhythm Instruments and creating soundscapes to various stories.
As well we are studying and learning to recognize notes, beat, and play various rhythms.
The students also had the opportuntiy to make thier own maraca and practice using this instrument with beat and rhythm as well as accompany a familiar song.

We have been using Body Percussion and the Orff Rhythm Instruments to create soundscpaes to various
stories.
We have been been learning to recognize symbols for sounds and musical notation while practising this with - say it, clap it, play it!
The students have been thoroughly enjoying our set of African Drums and learning how to play certain beats and rhythms. They have also learned how and where to hit the drum for learning the different drum sounds (bass, high and slap sounds).
